As we yogis are all about respect, so please keep these information in your mind while you are staying with us:

Respecting the Yogic Community

  1. Class Attendance & Timings:
    • Class attendance & timings
    • Noise levels throughout the day, but especially before and after sessions in the yoga shala. Some people will meditate, so help keep it a sacred place for focus and concentration.
    • Practice consideration, tolerance & empathy for your peers and guests. We are all here for different reasons and from unique cultures.
  2. Personal Practices:
    • Consider attempting cleansing periods of fasting or silence; we respect and support your efforts.
    • Inform someone if you need to miss a class or are unwell, and notify us of any long-term or chronic conditions.
    • Please notify staff if you feel unwell or encounter any damages during your stay.
  3. Additional Guidelines:
    • Dress Code: Respect Nepali and yogic culture by dressing appropriately.
    • Quiet Time: Be mindful of noise levels, especially in the mornings and afternoons, respecting others’ need for rest, meditation, or study.
    • Meal Time: Maintain a quiet atmosphere during meals to enhance appreciation, focusing on slow ingestion.
    • Intoxicants and Chemicals: Prohibit the use of alcohol, cigarettes, solid chemicals, and aerosols on site.

Respecting the Facilities

  1. Laundry:
    • Use professional cleaning services or hand-wash by the pavilion; avoid washing clothes in bathrooms.
    • Hang clothes on provided lines.
  2. Toilet Usage:
    • Use wastebaskets; do not flush toilet paper or sanitary items.
    • Utilize bidet showers for hygiene.
  3. Electricity and Water Conservation:
    • Be mindful of power and water usage due to limited resources.
    • Refill water bottles in the dining area; bring a reusable bottle.
  4. Spa Services and Room Cleaning:
    • Inquire about spa services and additional room cleaning.
    • Report damages promptly.
  5. Library Usage:
    • Enjoy the library and return books when done.

Yoga Class Etiquette:

  1. Study Time and Electronic Devices:
    • Use time wisely; refrain from making calls in the yoga shala.
    • Limit the use of electronic devices to maintain a focused and fresh environment.
  2. Yamas & Niyamas:
    • Follow ethics and morals according to the eight Limbs of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras.
  3. Training Expectations and Absenteeism:
    • Be active, attentive, and supportive of peers.
    • Attend 90% of classes to graduate.
  4. Setting Up for Success:
    • Let go of expectations, avoid competition, be humble, and learn from every experience.

Leisure time & Rest Days

  1. Teacher-Determined Rest Days:
    • Respect designated rest days and fellow students.
    • Utilize the time for personal activities or join group tours.
  2. Accessing Temples:
    • Dress appropriately when visiting temples.
    • Be respectful to monks and maintain a positive attitude.
  3. Safety and Wildlife:
    • Use natural repellents; avoid strong chemicals.
    • Inform someone before going on hikes.
  4. Sicknesses and Injuries:
    • Inform us of any health issues during reservation.
    • Notify staff promptly if you feel unwell during your stay.

Payment Conditions

We accept cash, bank deposits, wire transfers, and Visa Credit cards (with approximately a 4% surcharge).
